its Art Show Time!I have been busy sorting through artwork from this year for the annual District Arts Festival! Several teachers have been helping with artwork selection and I am now moving on to labels and matting student work! Students with artwork in the show will be receiving a letter with details about the show. Everyone is invited to come and celebrate all of the hard work our students and students at other schools throughout the district have accomplished this year March 18, 19, and 20th.
4th Grade- Wish for the world4th grade is starting a unit based on the artist Robert Indiana. Students have been asked to think of a powerful, positive four letter word that they will paint in the boxed style of the artist. Here students are brainstorming their wish for the world and sharing their final choice with the class using menti.com's word cloud. Kindergarten Dr. Seuss FishKindergarten students are celebrating Dr. Seuss this week with a project inspired by the book "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish". This project was adapted from a great lesson I found on Deep Space Sparkle's website for Dr. Seuss week. These kiddos have painted some pretty awesome fish that would fit right into Dr. Seuss' stories!
